After several visits, this is at the centre of the passage that carries the essential energy for me. This teetering rage is referenced a few other places too, but I like the way this is his mind describing (knowing) her state. The violence and fear make me really nervous - guilty that there could be any pleasure in witnessing such horrific treatment. But it works despite the fear (or rather because of it?). The distaste I feel at being able to stick with it is so thoroughly overtopped by the sexual charge she's generating for both of them (and for me). Talk about building up a head of steam! And with so little physical movement described! *wipes brow* I hope you don't mind me spilling my brains on your blog, but it's got me twitched. I guess you've all talked it through, time out of number, how a lot of this works on the old psyche. I'm a freshman at it and need to blurt it out as it comes. I have more to say and ask if it's not a galloping bore to keep on about it. Anyways... On a marginally separate tack, I have a technical question. Have you ever managed so slick an operation with a pocket knife? The effect in the story is gorgeous, but I can imagine myself coming seriously unstuck and being rather uncool as my little knife bounces off the elastic layers and the damn things manage to cling on but in a folorn and unflattering fashion - it'd be like a scene from a Woody Allen movie. I have no intimate knowledge of the psyche - i am as much a freshman as you in such departments! But i have a detailed imagination, and as such, tend to write honestly. I can empathise, imagine, pretend...that's what does it for me. I am not even sure this depth of knowledge between people exists. In fantasy land, of course it does. It's fantasy. It can be as perfect as you like. As for the knife, a valid point...unless it was a stanley knife, or 'she' were wearing very thin satin, i can see this being a problem. Anyone? Knife play? Clothing? Advice??! Thank you again for your comments, and for choosing this thread on which to 'pour' them - it is much appreciated. You have no idea how good it feels to have something you've written affect someone like this. Thank you. x Edit: Re-read your post, specifically the discomfort of enjoying the idea of such violence involved in sex. It goes both ways - it isn't JUST exciting for the one in control. As i've tried to show here, it is the willingness of the sub to put herself in this position that is the key. She could stop at any point - if she was GENUINELY upset, He would know it and play would stop.
