Sitting here last thing before bed. Just burnt a CD of music for the funeral. Tomorrow is the funeral. (See last blog post) How do I feel? Simple just one word...Empty. Not happy or sad, not apprehensive, not anything.. just empty. Every so often I have flashbacks about my Dad and tears start to come, but the majority of the time It just feels all so surreal. Lost. Empty. Is this grief? I just don't know.

We all feel things differently and deal with things differently and what ever way you deal with it, is right for you.The grief will come and you will know when it does but accept don't fight it because to hide and bury makes it even worse.We will all be thinking of you Si but don't fight the emotions that come.

I can relate to you post , knowing only too well the awful void of emptiness that you are now in at the moment.Emotional and maybe even physical Pain will kick in at some point, and my only advice is dont try to hide it just let it flow, get as much support as you can from people who care about you and the grief will lessen gradually... when my dad died over one year ago i was only to glad to feel so numb, it helped me get through the day to day bureaucracy.
