It depends what you mean by sexually financially I for one wouldnt go out and out to pay for say a rampant rabbit from Ann Summers for £49.99 - we all in one way or another are controlled by what the markets offer us regarding sexual stimulation whether be for men or women. I personally only use my BOB on rare occasions. I cannot comment on artificial vaginas etc as to me they look cheap and nasty and surely cannot give the same sensations ? maybe I am side-tracked and do not fully understand the question you are asking ?

Well, I think there are a lot of questions that could be asked here. I agree, artificial vaginas do look cheap and nasty and the men who resort to them are often regarded as rather ridiculous "losers". Why aren't women who use vibrators, which often resemble artificial penes, seen in the same light?
Is it that women who use vibrators (especially if they are deliberately not penis-shaped) are seen as powerful beings in charge of their own sexuality?
Or is it just that men are expected to be strong and aggressive, able to attract a real woman while women are still seen as inferior - perhaps even infantile creatures- and therefore permitted to play with toys?

additional thought: do some men read into their woman's use of a vibrator a silent (or buzzy) complaint that he is not doing his job very well? Who is controlling who? BDSM: Boring, Dumb, Sad Motherfuckers. Edited 25 Feb 07, 12:03 PM by Insistor

I've said it before: Oh a man who is manly might quite well be sensual But batteries are a girl's best friend A meal might be fine But it won't change the light bulb or help You mend the taps Feet grow cold as girls grow old, Man all lose their charm in the end But square cut or round shape Those batts don't lose their shape Batteries are a girl's best friend There might come a time when a girl needs a dildo Just don't go to Legal Aid There might be a time when a swine employer Decides you're really not too nice But fuel the batteries, and have a smile They're your mate when it's bear But beware when man's bullish It's then they've wives and lives to go back to Batteries are a girl's best friend! don't shake if you don't want spice

A vibrator to me isnt that important I prefer a real organic home grown penis to the ones that include batteries - I tend to bring toys into a relationship they sometimes enhance the sensations that can be achieved not just by organic parts.

I agree here some men find a woman using a vibrator as an insult to their male ego - like I said before I only use toys if I feel it necessary. You said men are treated wrongly for using artificial vaginas I disagree as women are also treated wrongly for using vibrators - people still live in the olden days regarding sexual toys well outside of the bdsm community. Do you agree ??? Have you ever used an artificial Vagina ??? picture=64765

Do I look like a man who has ever used an artificial vagina? (Note: I'll remove impertinent replies to this ) No, I would feel a failure and freak using one - no doubt a sign of my own egotism. As far as vibrators are concerned, personally I don't feel sexually challenged by a woman using one. This doesn't reflect any belief that women's sexuality is in any way inferior just different. What has puzzled me in the past is the way that women can relate to something mechanical like a vibrator or even more so fucking-machines or the sybian. As a male, I can understand the idea of removing oneself from the buzzing and losing one's self in fantasy. But it seems that just the physical sensation can produce an orgasm of sorts without engaging the imagination. But it is always stressed that the quality of the orgasm is different. In the case of fucking-machines and the sybian, it seems women report (and certainly exhibit) a lot of excitement but tend not to come back for more. I repeat Freud's question: What do women want? Maybe it all?
