I dont blog like some people do. In fact its a nearly 18 months since I last wrote anything. Caz seems to spend most of her life blogging, and it helps her...
Monday started juat like any other day... well any other when you are less that 2 weeks from leaving a boring job to run your fetish business full time, two weeks from moving in with the wife to be (I cannot spell the finance word thingy), a few hours after an excellent LFF, a few days from planning a birthday and valentines. And now?
11.30am I found out my father was dead. dead. gone. entered hospital on Thursday, died of a not unexpected yheart attact on Friday.
I didn't see eye to eye with dad. for over 10 years he didn't know where i was and visa versa. We got back together, and then I drifted apart again. Work, social life, and new businesses don't leave much room for worrying about dad.... and then? its all too late. He will never know I'm getting married, he'll never see his grand kids, he'll never know anything about the company I now run. Its all too late.
Want some advice? Ring your parents. ring them now. Tell them the things they need to know. tell them you care tell them you love them. tell then now. Dont leave it till tomorrow, or the weekend..it might be too late.. I know it was for me.

What a hideous experience and what a moving blog.
Parents passing on, is always dreadful but there is something even more difficult if there has been an emotional distance there.

No words can comfort you and i can only share what i feel how i deal with a loved one passing.
