I just wondered if anyone has a spare ticket for the TG Valentine's Ball tomorrow - or knows anyone who might have one? My lovely subbie friend from Toronto didn't book in time, and she's rather gutted that it's now sold out  She said she'd be willing to travel (within reason) to pick up said ticket..... Why don't you just ring them, and explain the situation? Tell them its a one off occurance and shes coming all the way? If they allow you to do it, thats good, i would hope they do. If they dont, well, i wouldnt go there again myself. MS I worked for Marks and Sparks for 12 years! | |

Well it's a nice thought for sure. But I've been going to TG for long enough to know full well that when it's sold out, it really means just that. And they make no exceptions for anyone! It certainly wouldn't stop me from going again however, after all they're only abiding by the 'rules' of venue capacity (which in tomorrow's case is 1,700!) Fortunately I've never been in a 'ticket hunting' position myself... | |

Hmmm, not sure if the guy will actually get the money. If you look at the winning buyer you will see that they have only ever been involved in one transaction in the past year. I smell a rat and think this is could be someone playing silly beggars or someone who believes the seller to be some sort of ticket tout and has bought the ticket at a very high price with no intention of going through with the transaction. I had a similar "Sold out "experience at TG on Halloween,
I turned up at about 11,they said they would see how full it was and to come back at 12.30 . I did as told (As I always do!) and got in at about 12.45.
