Just to remark that the most ridiculously prejudiced views I've encountered have been from mental health professionals themselves.
That's it, just needed to get it off my chest.

after my husband died when I was hiding behind the freezer when anyone came to the door and my then 8 year old was having to answer it my Dr said, well you don't present as depressed. call me a fool but I would think that when someone is widowed with small children they'd be checking for it. Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?"/ Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."" | |

Agree totally. That was my view when I worked within that sector, and was even more frustrating, because "they should know better" came into it. It's easy to forget what you learn, Waiting for the thrill to return. Feeling your desire burn, As You're drawn to the flame. | |
