The BBB After Party at Club Severine (4)

I went to the first After Party at the new venue yesterday. I have always enjoyed the parties at Xtasia, but I went along with an open mind to see what the new party would be like.

I was met by Morticia and another gentleman, who were very helpful and took time chatting to us (My Partner/Sub Dawn and I). Morticia showed us around and we found somewhere to sit.

The party was very well attended; the venue was a good size and well laid out. There were a lot of people there and it was a great atmosphere.

There were teething problems, some of the membership forms were not properly printed and the lighting was not quite right in the play area, but these things were quite minor and can only be expected for a first night.

The equipment was good quality and the music was excellent. The night was a great success and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. I feel that this event has a great future.

I had a great session with Dawn on one of the spanking benches and enjoyed doing some bondage on her and parading her around in it later.

Thanks to Morticia, John, Terry and everyone else who was involved in making this night happen. It is well worth a visit. Dawn and I will be there most months if this first one is anything to go by, I really think that it will get even better as it gets more established.

Hope to see even more of you there next time.

We agree with most things said above, and certainly agree with the overall sentiment. We enjoyed the night and think the club has a good future as the BBB after-market party, and with a bit of tweaking should be more than a worthy successor to Xtasia. Our group of around seven all thought the lighting a bit on the dim side - atmosphere is great, sure, but it was really difficult to see much at all in certain areas of the club, including in some of the main seating and play areas. The music, we all thought, was a touch too loud - we like to hear the screams, groans, swishing of canes, etc... The selection of music was very wide indeed, and most of us thought it was a good selection - no complaints here (ranging from classical to Iggy Pop to Massive Attack), except that the flow from one piece or style of music to another was very erratic - to go straight from a few classical pieces to Iggy, for example, came as a bit of a jolt. We thought the quality of the dungeon furniture was acceptable (without being top of the range), but perhaps lacking a little in variety. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and that can make a big difference - it helped create a warm, secure and entirely appropriate atmosphere. Perhaps the only other thing for the organisers to consider would be something in the way of food available at the bar - starting at 5.30pm, anyone coming straight from the BBB might start feeling peckish pretty soon after arriving. We will be going on a regular basis.

For an After Party first event, the feedback I received from those who attended was overwhelmingly positive. This ranged from the atmosphere, created, of course, by the event-goers themselves, to the layout and variety of the kit, to the music, considered appropriate and varied to the atmosphere of the night. . . In my opinion, the music was an excellent choice. However, music, be it volume or selection, is always a very personal choice, even more so when someone is playing or being played with, given the heightened sensibilities which occur. So in this respect, it can be difficult to please everyone all the time - as in life, so in fetish clubs! The same goes for smoking and non-smoking areas. But at this event, the two areas were suitably separate, non-smoking being in the kit play area and nearby seating, and I received many positive comments about this. . . Also reassuring was the understanding spirit in which areas that could be improved were commented on - the club management are working on increasing the lighting in the play area. And, given how many people were playing, any offers of loans of extra kit for future events will always be appreciated! . . . Mortiscia
