Life's rich rollercoaster of highs and lows! This time yesterday, sitting on a knife-edge...today, having to sew the corners of my mouth down to stop me grinning
With these added features thrown in:
The sun is shining so hard I have had to wear sunglasses to go outside.
Just spoke to the hospital/family, not only is my brother going to make a complete recovery but he has been in the words of his consultant 'a lucky, lucky bastard.' Apparently when they told him that he said it back in a Monty Python style and all the nurses were giggling. And in less than two weeks he will have his second child.
Just got email from best friend with information about our November holiday. At the weekend before I heard about my brother, we had hatched plans to go to Australia and Japan in Noember. Havent had a chance to be excited about it until today. But now I can start hanging corks from my head and bowing to strangers in the street.
My birthday present to myself has arrived!

It is abolutely gorgeous...and fits like a glove. Housework has suddenly taken an added twist of pleasure.
This afternoon I will be making rubber cucumber sandwiches for imaginary rubber guests, or something.

Oh and then theres the little matter of what Im doing in eight days time. But it doesnt take a scientist of rockets to work that one out.
