The Hitachi is the original (and well made, reliable and powerful). They only produce a 110v version and someone was asking about the converter ..... Maplin have a suitable converter, and it crops up on offer from time to time .. its 15.99 at the moment here, but when on offer I've picked up a few for £7.99.

Currently on offer at £4.99 (the transformer) at Maplin.

Well they will not apparently ship to UK

If they did they would charge estimated duty up front. Oh and warranty would be void.

I am bringing back some Thrive massagers from Japan which are almost identical and are the weapon of choice there. Like the Hitachi, they require an inverter to convert 240v to 100v but these are very cheap. If you have any doubts about their performance, ask electric_fairie for a personal review

The first time we tried it I thought the hotel management would call the police thinking a murder was being commited!

My hitachi magic wand with 2 attachments arrived today . Its still wrapped and sitting in my car waiting for me to open. Roll on 1930hrs

ebay seller from USA $71.55 and converter for £7.94 so at the time i think i paid about £44.07 in all including postage of both items.

I paid for it on 1st May, it shipped on the 5th arrived on the 15th not bad if you ask me.

if anyone interested memo me and i will give you both sellers names.
