I have some free time at the moment. No work committments to worry about. Feels kind of strange not having to juggle everything but only three days into my new found freedom and I'm starting to enjoy it. I know it won't last though. I could only do this for a short amount of time before I would start going nuts. I need to work. I need that focus. I can't drift in life for very long, I start to annoy me after a while.
So while I have the opportunity, I have a few jobs around the house that I did not manage to get done when I moved in. My work came first so now I can get those done.
I feel the need to wander though. It must be the Scottish blood in me, the hills are calling. Most people would be looking for a nice sunny spot this time of year. I want snow! When I was at school we had an outdoor centre right up in Wester Ross. Gorgeous place and it left an impression on me. Hill walking in the highlands can be stunning, even in winter. I'm fortunate to have a little motorhome too. I designed it myself so I made sure that it was capable for both summer and winter trips. Fully insulated and with a heater that runs on diesel and can be left on. Just the job.
So the van is being serviced, I should get her back today or tomorrow, all fettled.
All I need now is some decent clear weather. Have camera, will travel. (And a coat for the whippet!)
Work? Well it can wait for once. I've been working pretty much continuously for 22 years. Time for a little break I think. I'm just working out how I can fit capi and J in the van, I may just have to kidnap them. It's the only downside to doing things like this. I can't take them with me!
Now where did I put that map?
