As have been encouraged by some helpful tips and thoughts in my last post, i thought i'd try another. I would love to experiment with corsets and other feminine but not overly sluttish 'fetish' type wear, but the best stuff i've seen so far from websites, where it's difficult to gauge what will suit/fit best. I don't want to, and hopefully don't need to spend a fortune or get anything made to measure. I'm reasonably slimish but curvy, with fairly large breasts, hips and bum.... and chain store corsets that i've tried so far are just too restricting in the wrong places. I'd really appreciate any suggestions for somewhere easy to get to in Central or South East London... where i can browse around and try on different things without incurring too much impatience and, most importantly, not have to spend my kitchen appliance or sofa budget (yes i'm moving house) just to buy something nice.

Thanks MsKitti, I had a feeling that Camden would probably be the place i should visit.

Try pink and fluffy inside the lanes at Camden...do look around camden its full of clothing shops/stalls that sell corsets and clothing, I have bought loads of stuff from camden, just dont buy from FairyGothmother's website or place and order for summit via the shop, not only myself but others on IC have had a really bad time with them (If they have summit you like in stock at the right price as they can be exspensive then go for it, but avoid putting money down to wait for it as it often does not turn up or the delay is so long that you get bored waiting).
Good luck and happy shopping http://www.sensualtorments.com/ "Standing up and being counted is the 1st step in the right direction" by Red.

Fairy Gothmother is fabulous and the Gothmother herself extremely friendly and helpful. Last time I saw her we discussed a bespoke petticoat I had in mind, so if you don't see something off the peg you like that is always an option. I've had four corsets and a ballgown from her now and they are simply divine !! Ingrid x

I can also recommend 'pink fluffy' they were very helpful - especially advising me on styles that would suit someone with a fuller bust and patiently helping me try on various sizes / styles. se x

I have two lovely corsets, both Vollers ones, that I bought from Sh!, a women-only fetish store in Hoxton Square, near Old Street tube. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable about corsets (and help you get into them!) and you can try as many as you like on downstairs. The ones I bought were about £100 each... http://www.sh-womenstore.com/index.php Good luck! Molly

To add to the list of corest specialists not mentioned above check out: Mo at Precious on the Goldhawk Road - Shepherds Bush - she has been wearing corests almost everyday for the last 30 years and has also done a M2F dressing service for a long time as well. A little more special but worth the spend in my mind Adixxtion Designs who will hopefully be at the LAM next month. Best advice is shop around and try on, try on and try on again. Different suppliers do very different cuts of clothes and it's a case of finding something that suits and matches the look you want to create. David London Alternative Market

The corsets in Honour are about 60 quid. They're not amazing but fine if you're just experimenting - maybe get a more expensive one if you love them! Remember to get a corset about 4inches smaller than your normal waist measurement.
