However, not only applying arnica, but taking Arnica Tablets works, and also upping the amount of Vitamin C in your diet. Easily breaking capileries indicates lack of Vit C, as Vit C is directly related to Capilery strengh. (Not that I can spell capilery!) If you smoke, Vit C deficiency *is* an issue. Take a 1000mg one-a-day fizzy tab. Also, Ice, Witch Hazel, and/or Aloe Vera applied directly after play. On-going Special on Hugs...

Not to be a party pooper - but to echo Misress Nikki, you could have a metabolic deficiency or even a small clotting defect. Without getting technical, the next time you have a NON BDSM bruise that doesn't go away, it might just be worth pointing it out to your doctor if he or she is caring and understanding - it might be a sign of an actual problem that needs to be sorted out! Mistress Erotica If life were made of moments then you'd never know you had one.

Or even a BDSM bruise, if you trust your GP's confidentiality rating. You should be able to say to him/her "I do this and this is the result, have I got a physiological problem" and have them give you a polite informed opinion. I'm the Bishop of Southwark. It's what I do. And even I've signed the petition against the banning of violent porn at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Violent-Porn/

Have you tried a long warm up, getting the skin nice and pink and warm before doing anything that might leave you with marks and bruises.
Also covering the area with a wet tea towel, or I have heard cling film works as well.
This does defeat the object of wearing your marks with pride though. Lifes a Bitch....Isn't it fun

Well you certainly didn't give me the benefit of a warm up Mistress GI back in December. Still you resisted the temptation to cover me in cling film (he he)!

I wish I bruised more easily, to be honest. My friends know my kinks, mostly, so they're not surprised if I have bruises - and my larping can be quite the damaging sport if I fall over wrong.
But I take a lot of damage to bruise - and not through long practice, either ~~ Walk softly, and carry a big gun. ~~

I have to agree with this... and it's lovely to see the marks change colour, then slowly fade...

I've found I don't bruise at all easily but the slightest cut or scratch lingers for ages and even the most innocuous fingernail dragging moment can leave surprisingly long lasting marks. I've got two parallel tracks on my back that I don't remember recieving especially and that simply refuse to fade, looking back, I do remember her scratching me, but it didn't hurt or bleed and yet...there they still are, months and months after!

I bruise easily...think mine is related to a blood clotting issue, however only happens when I have the little pink pinpricks as an indicator on my arms, which I have been told, blood tests will only show the problem when these marks are at their pinkest....*try timing a trip to the doc to get that checked!* Anyway...if you don't have an issue, vitamin C can also help...
