...and know what a well behaved, honest, demure, innocent, and overall good girl I am, will not be surprised to hear that I have to take a break from your fine company to attend church now.
I have to because my daughter and her best friend have begged me to go with them, even though I am a Pagan Priestess. And they promised me that lightning will not strike me as I enter or leave the church. Nor would the church catch fire, cave in, be hit by a tsunami, or endure any number of disasters, natural or unnatural, while I was ensconced therein.
Those of you who do not believe that I am a well behaved, honest, demure, innocent, and overall good girl can bugger off.
See what a well brought up young lady I am? ![]()
Happy Holidays to all of you.
Updated mere minutes later to add that there is, indeed, a god. Many gods, in fact. And a fair number of Goddesses, too.
How do I know this? Because I just received a phone call advising me that the supposed Catholic church up the street is actually a Lutheran church, so the girls are on their way home and I do not have to attend the service.
My prayers have been answered!!! Hallelujah.
My holiday wishes still stand, though, whichever holiday you celebrate.
MA xx

I am not in the least suprised to know what a well behaved, honest, demure, innocent, and overall good girl you are, nor was I in total suprise that you would go to a church in order to please others. The fact that it was the wrong kind of church and you did not need to attend only proves that karma does work and you what received was in return for the good that you have been giving.

Thank you for your kind words; they are much appreciated. I also am a believer in karma, though it usually does not manifest itself in such an immediate fashion. Wishing you and yours a blessed new year. "Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother." ~ Kahlil Gibran | |
