why is it that the fairer sex can iron to perfection but cant take off a pair of shoes and manage to put them together in a corner?

for some reason, they manage to always be 8'' apart and always in a doorway or at the edge of the sofa, just where i can stand on one and trip on the other.

could things get worse?

they can when you trip on the first pair and after you trip on them you turn round to continue on your way(biting your tongue) and trip on a second pair

still, it's xmas

Stick two nails over the fire place and there you go you have a place for the shoes/boots

Easy way to deal with this is when you trip over a pair, pick them up and take them to the bin and throw them away. You won't trip up over them again and if she doesn't learn to put her shoes away then she won't have any left eventually. Either that or buy her a pair you can lock in place and then she can't take them off.

I always try to leave my boots at least a foot apart and at odd angles so as to stand the best chance of tripping someone, a second set to catch you out as you recover form the first stumble is a bonus.
It's an art you know.

How DO you keep your feet way above floor level - or are they no longer attached to your body after tripping over shoes?

Chance would a fine thing; it's always his boots I trip over and they're usually half a room apart and in every room. And that's to say nothing of the clothes everywhere but the laundry basket.
