I don't think I ever truly knew what fear was until last night when I had to watch someone I love have a seizure.
Not knowing why it was happening, the absolute helplessness I felt, pleading with the 999 lady to make the ambulance hurry up, absolute panic and gut wrenching fear that he was going to die.
A snapshot now seared onto my soul that will constantly remind me of what is important in life.
