...is having completed my 20th mile in training for the Moonwalk in May 2007.

I'm pretty proud of myself for having walked 20 miles in three weeks of training - which may not sound much to most but to me its a pretty good achievement - along with having stuck to the schedule for three whole weeks. I've even managed to go out when it has been raining, which I thought would be the first place I'd crumble.

Hubby has been really good at motivating me and our doggy is still in shock trying to figure out what is going on; but loving every step of the way (especially the rainy ones).

The schedule has me down for twelve miles next week (wtf!) and then fifteen the week after - which I am going to keep up for the following two months. Seems like a really daunting task, but I am determined to put the effort in.

The next major challenge for me is giving up smoking - as most of my friends are appalled at the thought of me smoking as I complete a charity walk for breast cancer - would be a massive achievement in itself if I manage that one!

Anyhow, if anyone feels like pledging some money for a wonderful cause (by pledging you do not have to pay up until after I have completed the walk - but it would help BIG time with motivation for me) then here is the link where you can...
