After giving up for 6 months last year I slipped up and started smoking again. Only the odd one and now I am all the way back to 20 a day. Yuck. So last Sunday I decided that enough was enough especially when you think of the cost and decided to give up again. So from 3 O'clock yesterday I stopped. I scrounged 2 yesterday off a guy that I work with but today I have not had any.
I am stopping the only way I know, cold turkey. No chewing gum, patches, hypnotherapy or plastic tubs to suck on. My mood? Bloody awful and I feel like verbally abusing somebody. I am sure it would make me feel a hell of a lot better, so any offers?
Got to keep on saying to myself, "think of how much money you will save" "think of how much better you will feel".

Hello...
I gave up 8 months ago now Tried and failed a number (...ok, L O A D S of times!).
My last attempt worked by reading the Allen Carr book - Easy way. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was 'easy' however, it did work for me. Works on the basis the you're not giving anything up, you're just stopping doing something that's a bit naff. Genius! You don't quit until you have finished the book, and by then I personally didn't want to smoke. Buy it- it's only the cost of a packet of smokes if it does not for work! Hope that you are successful!
