My advice would be to test them before 'testing' them The experience I've had so far involved the medium set. They were 'only' on for four days, and while I didn't suffer anything like 'bad' discomfort when they were on (just the glorious catch 22 of pain = pleasure = more pain!), when the device was taken off there were three little blood-blister things where the points had pushed in. Nothing fatal, possibly nothing to even be that worried about at all (not that I'm an expert), but something to look out for maybe.
