As an ex serviceman, who is proud of his service. As someone who's family lost members in both world wars. As someone who has lost friends in combat. As someone who still works with the military. As someone who understands that the price of freedom is a high one paid by brave men and women.
I will stand at the local war memorial on Sunday as I do every year and remember them all. I will wear my Red poppy with pride.
