As capi has just posted, this weekend is family time for us.
Our bear of a Dominant had a gun held to his head on Thursday and has spent a fair bit of time since helping the local constabulary with their enquiries. All of which has left him, quite understandably, drained.
So last night was the mad trip to Blackpool just to see the lights. Sherbetface was utterly fantastic, finally falling asleep on the trip home. Her exclamtions at the characters she knew. "Loooooook! it's Ariel, Looooooook it's Mickey Mouse!! Oh it's just wonderful!" Bless. And J sat next to her, beaming down. Running out for fish and chips and rock for his family.
Made us smile, all of us together, as we should be, all in one piece. We had planned our trip so decided to do it rather than have our lives disrupted.
It took his mind off things for a few hours which must have been very welcome. Lots of backrubs and TLC as he slowly comes down. He gets flashbacks where he can feel the gun against his head. Not a replica either.
Our man, our rock.
So if we miss Nemesis party in favour of a night in watching DVD's then it is because we need the time out as a family. Time for J to rest and unwind.
I'd like to let capi and I loose with the gunman, just for a day or two. The police could have what was left.
So we have fridges full of his favourite food, DVD's to watch and a Dominant to spoil.
Have a good night at Nemesis if you are going, just grateful that for us, there will be a next time.
