Today I sent off my application form and fee to take part in the 2007 Moonwalk in aid of breast cancer.

Now I have decided to walk 26.2 miles for a number of reasons.

Firstly, believe it or not, I have always wanted to do a marathon! Problem is that I am never going to be a runner so I thought that I would not get the opportunity to tick this one off the "must do" list. Until I was told about this walk. I can walk (just about). This was made for me.

Secondly, I really really need to get fit. Nothing seems to motivate me better than a challenge with a deadline. May 19th 2007 sounds like the perfect deadline to me.

The remainder of the reasons are related to the people I know who have or have had breast cancer. It is to do with how helpless I feel towards them in not being able to help. Again, this seems like the perfect thing for me to do.

So, I've written the cheque, sent the form off, drawn up my training programme & made the commitment. The thing I really need, just for the added motivation & to make it really worth while is DONATIONS!

I've set up a website that is all above board (honest) and I am hoping that some people who do or do not know me might be kind enough to make a donation to this wonderful cause.
