On a couple of topics

It seems that our weblogs have caused quite a furore in certain quarters and my read count has joined cerrynn's in its skyward journey. We are even the subject of an editorial together with attendant comments from some of their readers. The whooshing noise you hear is the sound of a point being completely missed (at the time of writing) by all but one of them. To that one person, should they read this weblog, we say “Thank you”.

I say “at the time of writing” because irrespective of whether the read count for this goes sky high we won't be visiting their site to see if any more people with a sense of reason have commented. Nor will there be any further weblogs from us on this topic. Nor, probably, is it likely that there will be much from cerrynn or myself on anything but the most banal of topics. Certainly nothing on fantasies or scene descriptions in the immediate future.

We both said that we wouldn't stop writing but this has really upset us quite seriously. We *will* continue writing but on our own terms, not those dictated by some website we had never heard of until a few days ago. We have always planned to have our own website but the positive side of this debacle is that it has caused us to accelerate its construction. With our own site we can have public what we want to be public – and share our intimacies only with people who appreciate them for what they are. People like the members of Informed Consent. I am still thinking about the mechanics of this but as a computer programmer for some twenty years, I have a few ideas. Any of you who have any suggestions please feel free to make them, preferably by private mail.

It is really rather tragic that we should be driven to this, particularly since all we wanted was the courtesy and respect of proper interaction between writer and “publisher”. We weren't even accorded the courtesy of being told our material was being used elsewhere. With Informed Consent, Tanos has produced a site he should rightfully be proud of, one of which we are proud to be members. If another editorial is created on *that* site as a result of *this* log, well, they may write what they wish – we won't be reading it. Ah, well, that is now an end to it as far as we are concerned.

On another topic, I was going to write about our waxing hopes for cerrynn's return from the country of her birth to the green and pleasant land she now thinks of as “home” - but I am scared of attracting the attention of the gods of mischief. Only too often have their japes ruined our best-laid plans. She told me tonight that she misses England and our friends most bitterly, particularly because of recent events. So all I will say is that the time grows nearer, my utsukushii hana. To the pervy fantasies you have and the plans I have for you I will add another 'must do', a 'will do' in the Scirebourne Tavern. For you, cerrynn, I quote from Mr Thackeray's “Vanity Fair”. (A quotation within the bounds of copyright.)

“....the landlord said it did his eyes good to see Mr. Sedley take off his first pint of porter. If I had time and dared to enter into digressions, I would write a chapter about that first pint of porter drunk upon English ground. Ah, how good it is! It is worth while to leave home for a year, just to enjoy that one draught. ... ”

Soon, my beloved, soon.

Ai shiteru, itsumo.
