Busy busy busy weekend and yet relaxing and well chilled out too. Good company, good food and good wine what more can you ask for? Oh good sex, I'll leave that bit to your imaginations.
Went to Skin Two's cocktail party on Friday night, with FT, that was nice, quite up market and I'm guessing was full of the Torture Graden crowd. I'm not sure the heels I had on were for traipsing around London, up tube and down Compton Street, but nevertheless I reached the venue without broken ankles. However I think the best part of the night was getting home and getting into a hot bath. The balls of my feet were throbbing like something off a Tom and Jerry cartoon.
We had two very delicious cocktails, Kir Royale you can't go wrong with that, and then a black pepper strawberry martini. Yes, really, it was yum scrum smack my bum, so went perfectly with the party. I can recommend that to you. The smacked bum and the cocktail.
Speaking of black pepper, I can tell I was really tired last night, I made a curry for dinner and added salt and black pepper to it. On top of the curry paste. I've only just remembered doing that. I wondered why the hell it was so spicy hot and salty. I thought I must have bought a duff jar of paste with scrapings from the bottom of the barrel or something. But no, it was just me. Cuh!
Saturday saw us lunching and shopping in Hampstead darling. Disgustingly sexy and impractical Kurt Geiger shoes acquired, oh yes. Pic to appear at some point on my profile. I am telling you, you will drool. Oh yes, drool. Nothing quite so sexy as a high instep forced into a curve by a 4inch heel. Even I, lover of man flesh, can appreciate the delights of a well turned foot.
Expo then called to us and we browsed, chatted, people watched and shopped to the best of our abilities. Loads of stalls, loads of folk to chatter to, loads of clothes to view. Not into the wierdo rubber stuff that inflates into costumes of animals and aliens. I found that scared me. I didn't like them at all. I can appreciate they looked amazing but also they looked freakish, which I guess is the point. It was like being in a Dr Who episode around that stall.
Completely foot sore and starving hungry we sloped off home early to more hot baths and the ministrations of the local Chinese delivery service. We also watched X-Men three and consequently spent the rest of the evening and most of Sunday discussing what X-Men powers we would have and what our X-Men names would be. Titania and Stealth for your information, and the powers are secret of course. Honestly as if I would tell you that, I'm not called Stealth for nothing after all. You'll have to torture me before I will tell you….. Go on go on torture me I tell you!
Oh and Titania did buy a most amazing corset, so we did spend a good while squeezing her into a ridiculously small waist on Saturday too, bitch. Don't worry I will feed her more pizza next time.
What else did we do? Sunday lunch with best gay mates in Clerkenwell at a fabby restaurant, yum scrum taste their chocolate truffle cake ohhhhh sighhhhhh. No, no it's OK, I am following the “Colour Diet”, there are no calories in anything brown. It's green you have to watch out for. Deadly. Scarily there were live lobsters watching us. My best gay mate's partner was opting for lobster until he saw them waving at us, then he declared he couldn't possibly be responsible for the poor creature's death, so had steak instead. I guess one cow goes much further than one lobster.
Sunday night saw more DVDs, more food and lots of sofa snoozing ending the weekend on a ridiculously lazy note and I can't say we were up and out early Monday morning either.
A very good weekend all round but really not enough shopping….. Edited Tue 10 Oct 06, 9:45 AM by alexandraa
