There are people involved in bdsm, in every part of the country in every single occupation, from the police and army, to the shop workers and the cleaners.
We consent to what we get up to; we believe we are risk aware and safe. We enjoy being beaten, tied up, and tortured and even enjoy doing it to others. But only with consent and only with risk awareness. So what rights do you have to take it all away from us?
Are you going to put every single police officer, solider, nurse, office worker shop worker cleaner on the sex offenders register, losing lots of soldiers and police at the same time, taking away more of the valuable resources our country needs in fighting the real crimes out there. Have you nothing better to focus your attentions on. I'm sure I could think of a few better things than trying to put a law through that will ban images etc. that most find erotic and art, rather than seeing it as degrading and detrimental to human health. You would also have to censor an awful lot of television and film as Bdsm has found its way on to the TV screens in a lot of shows lately. You might well find that you won't have the manpower or means or funds to put every single one of us on the list. Just because we enjoy a bit of rope or a good beating.
You only have to look around to know that this is something thousands and yes it is thousands if not millions of us enjoy doing, it doesn't make us sex offenders. It doesn't make us abnormal. It doesn't make us child molesters, rapists, or murders. In fact we are just normal people living our lives, not forcing ourselves or our way of life on anyway, not hurting others that are not into BDSM.
I had a taste of what is was like to be shunned for enjoying my sexuality, when my belated partner who used to beat me, lock me in a cage or tie me up was killed in action. We couldn't possibly soil his name for enjoying bdsm, but he did. Although it was all hushed up and made quite and get rid of the little woman as soon as possible, but it didn't stop me from enjoying my sexuality. I have pictures and videos of us doing what we enjoyed. They are the only pictures and images and hearing his voice that So do you intend taking that away from me as well, as you took him away from me. I think not.
I'm proud of who and what I am, and nobody has the right to take that away from me, from us.
