Just something a little short and sweet, because I think it says enough.

I listen to loud rock music, with aggressive content, some anti-social/governmental themes to them, the odd satanic reference and yes, even swearing!

Yet I don't swear casually, have no impulse to march into a highschool and start shooting people, or have a greasy mullet. Nor do I randomly hassle people about any of it - I know people that like the same, and talk to them about it, and occasionally share in gig going.

I've played arguably all of the so called controversial computer games. Car theft, murder, blood, hookers, assassinations, random gunfire at civilian people just for the fun of it, death, destruction and football games.

Yet I've never stolen a car, randomly attacked a member of the public in ANY way, sat on a roof with a sniper rifle waiting for my target to emerge, or managed Manchester United to the champions league title. Nor do I hassle people going about any of it - I know people that like the same, and talk to them about it, and occasionally share in the playing experience with them.

I view (so called) violent pornography. Not often, but I do. People bound, gagged, beaten, crying, begging, enjoying, marked, writhing. The people in it consented to what they're doing. Technically I might have even appeared in some (which has gone, and will go, no further than the confines of my own computer, but when would a fact like that stop the law in action?)

Yet I've never kidnapped a random person off the street to inflict any form of 'evil' on them. I've never done anything with a partner that they didn't want to happen. I don't pester anyone with outlandish fantasies. - I know people that like the same, and talk to them about it, and occasionally share in various forms of things with them.

There's this tiny thing called CONSENT that's rather important to myself and the community I interact within. And that's what seperates most 'violent' pornography from the non-consensual acts in the other forms of pornography the government are looking to legislate against.
