A flick, a flutter, a touch on your shoulder like a spider saying hello. A tap, a brush, a few strands of hair knocked astray. A point sweeping across your back barely there yet leaving a mark, you know it. A cut, hard, fast and fleeting then back again, heavier, gone again almost before you sense it. A crack, sharp and loud, a slash as if a steel edge were laid across you.
A slice, a cut, a burn. A whistle through the air, hair flying and whip cracking. Glancing blows and slices enough to cut your body through, so it feels. Hard to believe blood isn't running.
You can't move, you daren't move, more bound than rope would allow. The whip flies at you, no room for manoeuvre, no step possible.
Power cracks like lightning. Strikes stinging as they welt your skin. Vicious fleeting slashes dart in, mark you and run, then back again. Cut and sting, cut and sting.
A sting so sharp, yet not pain like some. Fierce in its touch yet gone so fast you can barely remember it. A touch so light, like a lovers gentle caress, can turn to a cruel deep slice within seconds. Back to a spider's stroke, and then a crack like glass breaking.
Terror? Pain? Pleasure? I'm never quite sure.
