Oh yes, we (FT and I) are off to see Kylie. Yep yep yep. Planning our show girl outfits already. Lots of glitter obviously, goes without saying. Tickets and hotel all booked for January. You're jealous right? Hahaha! I laugh at you, and, what's more we have tickets really nearly the front. Oh yes. Just checked on ebay and I could be reselling them already for half again as much. They'll be worth a fortune in January.
Had a fabulous whirlwind weekend this weekend, busy busy busy. Met loads of friends, did loads of shopping, even found a merkin shop. What do you mean you don't know what a merkin is? Get out there and Google it and yes you can still buy them. There is a small shop near Covent Garden that sells them, a snip at £150 each. I wonder if you need measuring and fitting for one? I kept calling them furkins for some reason but not inappropriate I thought. Given the price we thought we'd just go into “Home and Hobby” and buy materials to make our own. We could have a bring your merkin to munch event.
How did we get on to talking about merkins? I've no idea at all. That's how conversation flows I suppose when you're having a giggle and are equally excitable as your friend and have a Friendly Neighbourhood Domly one egging you both on, oh and are drinking a bottle of fizz. The latter had little to do with it in truth. In fact I don't think we'd even started on it at that stage. We're giddy enough without anything more than a glass of water.
We packed in a huge amount of things, Soho, best gay mates, Coffee Cake and Kink, Sweet Torments, complete with assorted fetish friends, Camden Market, Hampstead, Cinema to leer at Clive Owen in Children of God, intermittent food and drink at a variety of establishments and finally collapsing on the sofa to sigh at The Thomas Crowne Affair. You can't go wrong with ending a weekend of manic rushing around with Thomas Crowne. He's such a Dom, so evil, so cunning and so lovely. Sigh…
We had a ticket booking fest too and as well as Kylie we are off to Skin Two's Rubber Ball cocktail party and fetish exhibition, hurrah! Looks like lots of shopping will have to be done. Click here to have a nosey.
I'm knackered just writing all that. Off to design my merkin now. What else would a girl wear to a cocktail party after all?
