Question: Non BDSM are "vanilla", what flavour are we? can we not claim a flavour instead? or would there just be too many arguments about which flavour it was?

I don't think it would be possible to select one flavour. And most women I know would want it to be chocolate anyway. If I describe myself as non-vanilla I'm saying I don't like boring sex. And that's easy for someone who's not in the scene to understand and it's more positive than labelling myself with a specific fetish. I can understand why some want to stand up and say they are sadists. They are not ashamed of what they do and they don't want to feel they have to be pushed out of sight. But it's about time BDSM became as acceptable as gay sex. If that's to happen, things must change. As things are, it's going the other way and becoming less acceptable. And the only reason for that is ignorance and misconception.
