I have just had the strangest experience.
I was in bed in that kinda half dream state, you know, when you're verging on the edge of sleep...
When "someone" came and sat on my bed next to me. I heard the floorboards creak as they entered the room. I felt the bed dip where they sat and I felt them softly stroke my hair.
It wasn't sexual in any way, it was more....comforting I guess.
I lay there with my eyes closed, I didn't want to open them, I was scared of who was there. When I opened them, no-one there. I checked the time....00:55
And now, I'm sat here, all the lights on, too scared to go back to bed.......how silly is that?

Its not silly to be scared if you dont understand what has happened  It is fairly common to experience hallucinations in the period just before sleep. These hallucinations are called hypnagogic and hypnopompic hallucinations. They are given these names because they occur at the onset of sleep, and the period just before waking. So have some warm milk, read a little, then return to bed and try to go to sleep, avoid lying on your back as some think that these hallucinations are more common when in this position.

I know you're probably right, my head tells me you're right.
But, I can't get rid of this niggly feeling that somethings just not right. I want to ring my family and check everyones ok, but its too late and I'd only freak them out. But yes, I do need to go back to bed, I am tired and I have to be up in a few hours.
