First of all, *thank you* so much, everyone, who sent me birthday wishes in their blogs, and emails and cards. Your thoughts helped make the day special ... love and hugs to you all!
The real highlights of my birthday on Wednesday were a wonderful two-hour telephone visit with Matou, and his weblog posted that day (14/01/04). We had arranged for a "date" at 3 pm my time, 11 pm GMT, at which time we "met" and had a glass of wine together, over the phone. We reluctant participants in LDRs can become very creative! Just before our conversation, I saw his weblog.
To borrow a term from one of our dear friends (who knows who she is! Hi and hugs!), I was ... gobsmacked. I have wanted since Wednesday to post a log in response, but I have been quite literally lost for words. But now I know what I want to say, and the weblog is now "under construction" ... so watch this space!
To all of our friends, again, thank you. You mean more to me than I can say, and perhaps more than you will ever know. And to Matou ... as always, now more than ever, ai shiteru, itsumo ...
