You're not invisible, Flora. None of us are, although I suspect we all feel that way from time to time ...
With only five days left before I have to get on an airplane and physically disappear, at least from these shores, at least temporarily, I can sympathise with the feeling a great deal at the moment.
It was great to see some of you over the weekend, at the BBB and other events. Mariatv, Jezzebelle, Whisper, MsVamp ... so glad to be able to see you on Sunday, and thank you for the kind words and wishes in your weblogs and in person. Got to see MsTiger briefly on Saturday night (at a spectacular party -- my last for a while -- that will provide many a happy memory to take away with me), and Oph and emenac (alas, all too briefly) on Sunday. Special hugs to vixin -- talk to you soon! And of course to Sue and Paul (alias Slack Tart and MasterPBX!), thank you so much for Friday night (and Saturday morning!) ... it was a good thing you beat a hasty retreat on Sunday, or else you would have been treated to a demonstration of the melting mascara phenomenon. See you *soon*.
To anyone I may have neglected to mention that we saw over the weekend, and to all our friends, especially those I didn't get a chance to see or properly talk to in the past couple of weeks ... you are all so special to me, and I shall miss you terribly.
And now my pathetic little request. I shall continue to post weblogs (probably more frequently than I do now, as I shall have very little to do *except* write, and wait for things to be resolved so that I can come home to Matou and our life together in Coventry) in the coming months. Like Flora, I sometimes wonder if anyone actually, *really* reads my meanderings (the read-count not withstanding). If you ever feel like it over the next few months, please send me memos! I've always loved getting responses (positive or negative) about my weblogs ... and in the months to come I suspect comments, critiques, or even just "hiya" memos will become even more important to me as a way of reminding myself that I am only temporarily invisible on the UK/West Midlands BDSM scene.
I'll probably post at least one more major, mushily sentimental log before I leave on Sunday. Consider yourselves warned.
