I've had a lovely day so far today...a wonderful lazy morning spent messing about with the baby and watching tv, then the three of us went out for lunch and then to F's parent's house as they got back from holiday yesterday.
Have some scrummy fresh peas to do risotto with for tea later, and am generally a very happy bunny as Len put on five ounces last week! Yay! Can't quite believe that she's a month old tomorrow...
She gave us her first real smile (cheesy grin! not wind!) about a week ago, which was while she was sat on my Mum's knee...I started talking and she turned her head to me and grinned...bless! We now have smiles ll over the place which is wonderful...the best ones are when she catches sight of my nipple...well, at least I know she enjoys it!
We're going to go to the Liverpool munch next week...really looking forward to seeing everyone...we won't be staying long as I can't leave the little one yet (can't express bottles til 6weeks!), but everyone will get to meet her!
I'm wandering off to one of the most fun shops in liverpool this week with F's Mum...abakhan fabrics! Yay! I've managed to find a pattern for another wrap sling...much cheaper than buying another one and as she stays in it all day it'll make getting them through the wash a LOT easier!
I got the appointment through for our 6 week check up this morning...can't wait to be cleared for sex!...am desperately horny...this is the longest we've ever gone without since we got together, even when I lived in York and F in liverpool...
But yep, can't wait for the munch...I've really missed everyone! By the september one we will be able to get a babysitter and stay for the whole thing though!!!

They clear you for sex after 6 weeks these days???
I was told when I had my babies that I could have sex as soon as I felt well enough! We were at it well within a fortnight, with no ill effects whatsoever  (a tad longer after stitches...but 6 weeks? That's just cruel!).Last one dead's a sissy. |

not sure what your hospital told you but i know mine don't make you wait till your 6 week check. after i had my son i was at it a couple of weeks after and that was with an episiwhadjacallit as well. once you feel ready you can go for it. also breast milk can be expressed from birth so i'm sure you don't have to wait for that either. they've told me not to even hang my washing out etc till after my 6 week check as i had a c section but if everyone listened to them then we would all sit on our arses for 6 weeks and let life grind to a halt. i know they don't recommend sex for a while after a section but thats cos there's 4 layers of stitches to heal... i would say if you're feeling ready for it then go for it. xxx |

Main problem with sex is that they won't give me contraception til my six week check!  And breast fed babies can start refusing the breast if they're given a bottle too early...nipple confusion! I know it doesn't happen to all babies, but I'm not prepared to take the risk! Pinkxxx A pessimist is a man who thinks all women are bad. |
