The General Bit

I'm a 41 year old woman who is loyal, emotional, generous and unable to tolerate coldness. On the whole I'm optimistic and grateful to be so. I am someone who is doomed to think too much, yet drawn to peace and calmness. From an early age I've been acutely aware of undercurrents, atmospheres and the moods of others. Perhaps because of this honesty, consistency, and congruity are much appreciated.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends and these relationships give so much pleasure. Hobbies include reading, meditation and learning the violin (much to the disappointment of my cat and anyone within 100 yards ).

Time spent with loved ones, Amnesty International, pets (especially cats, rabbits and gsds), thunder storms, kindness, my Lumie alarm clock, giving, chocolate, harmony, snow, small silver jewellery, meditation, walks by the sea, no need for words, psychological thrillers, hugs, rich deep colours, full moons, absolutes, candle light, integrity, real fires, peace, David Deida, pottering, knowing what is expected, small Scottish islands, being useful, coordinated bedlinen, Paris perfume, clarity, GHDs, a shared history, learning the violin, daffodils, daisies and snowdrops.

Some personal dislikes are:

Meat, betrayal, physical or emotional coldness, sweet corn, pretence, Tesco, bigotry, dried flowers, irresponsibility, wasps, selfish manipulation, too much noise, stripping wallpaper, discord, my diet coke addiction, goodbyes, Chanel no 5, lost dreams, most alcohol, cruelty, letting people down, the London Dungeons, not knowing why, New Year's Eve, broken promises, fat days, inconsistency, open bedroom doors, knowing something is wrong but having it denied

For anyone who values such things my personality type is apparently ISFJ

The BDSM Bit

D/s wise I am submissive only, heterosexual, monogamous and incapable of casual play. I've tended to find that my desire to submit is usually inspired by the behaviour of a man I like and respect. The Taken in Hand dynamic was my first love when starting off in all this but, while it still has a strong appeal, other elements of BDSM have worked previously too. Increasingly I am interested in exploring the psychological aspects of D/s in more depth, especially intimacy, bonding, control (not solely sexual control), obedience, discipline and possibly ownership. .
