In Short

About Me

Vanilla

In vanilla life, I've been working in the electronics industry at a business in Luton since I finished my degree in Electrical and Information Sciences (= Electronic Engineering + other things).

Sports-wise, I like SCUBA diving, running, hiking/rambling, skiing, tennis (although i haven't played for quite a while)... I like watching rugby and baseball (go Red Sox!), although I'd hardly be called fanatical about it.

I enjoy anything from going to the pub to reading a book, but I'm not huge on clubs (of the vanilla kind) - don't ask why, I don't know... I just don't seem to like the atmosphere for some reason. Perhaps it's because I like to talk to people when having a good time and you can barely hear yourself think in most vanilla clubs.

One of my major areas of interest is traveling and, as my parents lived abroad until very recently, I have gotten used to doing it often (the more exotic the location, the better - some of my favorite holidays have been in Burma/Myanmar, Mali, Cambodia, Uzbekistan, Estonia, and Peru - in no particular order). Additionally, I spent the third year of my degree on an exchange program at MIT in Boston, MA, USA, which was great fun and really opened my eyes to some of the things I could, and should, be doing (socially and academically).

Music: I like almost any sort of music "so long as it is good"... but no, really... no specific genre, just a random collection of things i like. Oh... and i can't sing or dance to save my life, despite doing one or other on occasion: be warned.

BDSM

OK, as for BDSM... I've tried a fair few things now (though I still wouldn't call myself "experienced"). Here is my checklist.

I actively like bondage, some anal play and a few other bits and pieces. I will do S&M and enjoy it in what might be a rather unconventional manner: I do not gain much enjoyment from pain or its infliction itself, but I do enjoy the sense of submission that comes from it (albeit on an intellectual rather than sexual level). As a result, I consider myself submissive, but not especially masochistic. Fetishes: I like some of the imagery associated with leather etc, but it's not something that is anywhere near essential to my enjoyment of a scene.

My hard limits are that I won't do anything with blood, shit, breath control, sounds or permanent marking (and I hope that I don't have to mention animals or children - that, I assume, is a given)... although i would be open to breath play with someone who i trusted greatly and who had a lot of experience at it.

I've just decided that I need to say a bit about how I see hard limits: these are things that I will not do because I feel that they represent an unacceptable health hazard. Needless to say, if you can show me that something isn't as dangerous as I see it to be, I'm happy to change my view about it (hence my comment on breath play above).

Once again, though, I'm going to say that I'm submissive over everything else, so the idea of being dominated is more important to me than any particular activity. Furthermore, although I enjoy BDSM and find that it's something that could well be essential in a long term relationship, it is not the be all and end all of what I look for - the usual vanilla things (catching a movie, having fun with friends, ...) are essential.

What I'm Currently Looking For

I'm single and am looking for:

1) An LTR - with a dominant woman - but in this case, there are more important things to consider than just BDSM... I'd have to get to know you better.

2) Play - with local men and women. But I don't really work well when playing going from "cold" too quickly unless I am comfortable with the person.

3) Just plain platonic friends.

Location & Travel

I am based in Luton and although getting to know people in the local area would be great, I'm all too aware that 90% of those I would be interested in getting to know live in London. As a result, I want to get to know people in London better as well.

Luton has an excellent rail link to London (35 mins to St Pancras), which makes it closer to the centre in terms of time spent traveling than many locations "within" London itself.
