| How someone recently described me. Apologies for the grammar but its courtesy of google translation
... is a mild lunatic who knows multiple aspects of the bondage. It has explored the universe of the cords for three years and is interested particularly in “their role like conveys expression of control within a paradigm BDSM. ” Its speciality, it is body decoration with cords dyed with the hand, which are moreover more agreeably stimulative for the model, that it imprisons in one bewitching network of Celtic interlacings. “The body thus crimped is offered to the sensual plays according to the mood of the partners. A beautiful moment of softness in our world the rough ones”…
I've been having a lot of fun lately with my little mushroom princess.
I'm currently working for myself as a car dealer. If you want a car then let me know. I also offer an auction buying service, email me for details. However I spend most of my life running my design consultancy company.
If you want to buy rope and you're in the UK or Europe, send me an email and I'll let you know the details. Alternatively, just stop and chat to me if you see me at the LFF, BBB, SWAMP, or the following munches:- Watford, London or Bedford.
The rope is all 8mm pre-stretched 16 plait nylon braid, which gives it a finished diameter of just over 7mm, so its soft, strong and as long as you want. Its priced at £1.00 a yard plus postage.
Lyrics from the Jeffrey Lewis song. "Chelsea Hotel Oral Sex"
if I was Leonard Cohen or some other song writing master
I'd know to first get the oral sex and then write the song after
you can practice writing songs about romance every day
but if you haven't loved then you'll have nothing to say
The vanilla me.
I like to enjoy life to the full but also know how to relax. I'm either doing something enthusiastically or I'm asleep.
When I've got the time:-
I'll be watching live music, anything from metal to folk, but my favourite is still punk.
I'll be driving fast cars, just bought a Porsche GT3 for www.cannonball8000.com
I'll be in the pub having a quiet drink with friends.
I'll be getting drunk and trying to remember not to dance because I can't.
I'll be watching a test match at Lords, or the Caribbean.
I'll be having a spanking good time with a subbie, or playing with her cleavage, YAYYYY
I'll be reading Tolkien, Pirsig, Dickens, Hardy, Robert Jordan, Laurie Lee, Andy McNabb, Wilbur Smith or Dick Francis. Any suggestions on what else to read are welcome.
I spend most of my life working far too hard.
If you want to know a bit more about me then read the fluff or the politics that I contribute to in the forums, or just ask.
I'll be cooking, but if its stirfry then don't distract me or the contents of the wok could well end up all over the kitchen floor. I'm quite good at BBQs
The musical me:-
I'm tone deaf, can't play a note, except on a keyboard if you don't mind me having fingers that are uncoordinated and poor music reading skills.
As to what I listen to:-
Folk
Eliza Carthy, last seen by me in "fuck me" boots and black leather corset [ ]
Harvey Andrews, old git who can still rock and who writes the most insightful songs I've ever listened to.
Kate Rusby, cos she's shaggable and has the purest voice ever recorded, as well as a great sense of humour.
Punk
Fucking all of it that had some musical talent, but especially the Clash, Toyah, Stranglers and Buzzcocks
NYAF (New York Anti-Folk)
Moldy Peaches
Jeffrey Lewis (until you've heard the "Chelsea Hotel Oral Sex" song you haven't laughed properly http://www.roughtraderecords.com/jl.html
Thomas Truax. Nothing finer than when he's performing on his hornicator [:P]
Schwerevon
Rock
Led Zep, Floyd, Nirvana, I could type more but most of the names that I'd type would be too predictable
Classical
Various bits
and where the fuck do you fit John Otway, Roy Harper, Snuff, Nick Harper etc and so many other obscure, brilliant people that I happen to like but who so few have ever heard of.
Then there's Les Barker, coming to a town near you soon. If you have more than a few brain cells and a sense of humour, you need to see this guy.
Micah P Henson and Willy Mason have recently been added to the list.
Food
CURRY is the food of the gods
Meat and potatoes, marmite, black pudding are all important in my diet.
I'd rather eat good fish and chips out of newspaper than suffer most pub grub. I'm also very happy in expensive restaurants,
but don't offer me anything green in the way of vegetables unless you want a punch on the nose.
Friends, I've got a lot of them of both sexes, some of them very close to me, closer to me than my family. I'll not give them up.
I'm always interested in meeting interesting people and if we click then I'll happily spend time working on togetherness. If you like being tied up, then I'll happily oblige. [ ]
At some stage I will add in a section on the philosophy of Pirsig, the author of "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" and "Lila" along with my own interpretation of these, but in the meantime you'll just have to understand that this sort of thing interests me. Its philosophy rather than philosophology (sp?).
Some thoughts of mine, which also give some idea of how my brain works are taken from a reply I sent in an e-mail chat.
Hmmmm, yes, there are some very deep parts of my brain. Pirsig went insane from thinking too much about one subject, in an attempt to search for the truth in philosophy.
I used to think too much.
It took me a long time to realize that there's more to life than what I was thinking about. That there is a need to spread your thinking over a number of areas, so that a variety of life's needs are met. In fact so that all of life's basic needs are met and the "wants" and the "likes" are treated appropriately. Its too easy to spend all your energies focusing on a "like" to the detriment of the "needs."
Fuck, this is getting far deeper than I ever intended to be on a Saturday night, but I'm in the mood for it. Its another lesson from the book, that if you do something when you're in the mood for it the results will be far better than when you're not.
This also explains why my house is a mess, as I am rarely in the mood to do housework.
But there is also a very lighthearted side to me, I love having fun in many ways, I have a silly streak in me that occasionally gets me into trouble.
and this was taken from an IM conversation when I was in the mood...
kev says:
I never work at home. My home is for me to relax in. I'd rather stay late at work to work
kev says:
I like to keep the two separate. It helps keep me sane. Assuming that I am sane
kev says:
Have you ever read Pirsig? Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. His only other book as far as I am aware is Lila
says:
you are a fan of him. What makes his writing special ?
kev says:
yes, his mind has been to the same places as mine. scary places, places where the government made him have Electro convulsive therapy to destroy some of his brain. I've managed to keep mine under control. To stay away from the obsessive search for that that I have searched. Its a stunning book. You need to read it to understand
says:
i will read it, you sparked my interest. He was forced to undergo electric convulsion treatment?
kev says:
Yes, it was many years ago, when those commited to an insane asylum would routinely undergo such treatment. He was very intelligent. Very very very intelligent, but lost his grasp on reality whilst searching for a true vision of philosophy
says:
ah
Kev says:
the search for perfection. The search for a true understanding, but he spent all his time searching and no time bothering about normal bodily functions
says:
the defining of true alone is an impossible task
says:
ah ...i understand
says:
so basically he slowly destroyed himself
kev says:
yes, and then he was commited to an insane asylum, he was trying to seek a definition of quality, we all know what quality is, but try to define it
says:
it is subjective, but i guess most things are. My quality will probably not be yours
kev says:
it also exists in the objective and it is related to the environment in which it is considered
but if you take a group of people from a similar environment then they are likely to be in very broad agreement about what is of good quality and what isn't
but it cannot be defined. Quality, Pirsig argued was the true link between objective and subjective but how could it be a true link if it couldn't be defined so he tried to search for a definition
and went insane trying to find it
says:
hmm... i ordered the book and will read it.. poor man, it feels like he was looking for the holy grail somehow ...try to find something you so desperately want and find out you can not (will not?) find it
kev says:
it is not easy to read
says:
easy is boring
kev says:
by that I mean that the words he uses are straightforward, but the message is very difficult to understand
to extract what he is truely trying to say because so much of it is an alien concept
says:
so basically you are telling me i need to read well, look behind the text from time to time, use my brain and bother you for every passage i do not get?
kev says:
You will have to think deeply about the passages you do not understand. I might be able to add some explainations but the understanding must come from within
says:
can i ask blunt questions ?
kev says:
yes, of course
says:
what made you emphasise your doubts about being sane and the places your mind has been ? i get a kind of idea you try to scare me off somehow?
kev says:
No, I was simply telling the truth. My mind too has spent times looking for solutions, electionic or physics solutions or a truer understaing of myself
says:
telling the truth can be an attempt to warn someone or scare him/her off. Ok, so you think, and at times you think further and deeper than your fellow human beings
kev says:
This is why i work at work and relax at home
says:
nothing wrong with that
kev says:
I make sure now that I always follow this rule. it keeps me sane.
kev says:
brb, posting in politics
says:
i am a bit shocked by the initiators post
kev says:
I was very surprised, I've met him, love bloke, but it seems lately that he's lost the plot
says:
maybe he is feeling bad, his posts sound somewhat depressed
kev says:
could be, I'll leave it to someone that knows him better to cheer him up
says:
give him some time ..it is a cliché i know, but not an untrue one
kev says:
you're right there
says:
of course
kev says:
but not as right as I am
says:
oy!
kev says:
I'm always more right, its the way I am
says:
a debate will become interesting when you say that
says:
do you mean stubborn or just wiser ?
kev says:
both
kev says:
When I know I'm right I am very stubborn and because I am wise then I know that my right is right, but often seen from a much deeper perspective than some see
says:
so your right is more right than my right?
kev says:
On things that I have thought deeply about, yes, but I try to avoid too much deep thought, I don't want to follow the same path as Pirsig
A poem I wrote for a friend
For the love that you give,
For the pain that you take,
For the sunshine in your face,
As you give me your heart.
For the way that you smile,
For the way that you are,
For the things that you say,
As you give me your heart.
For the way you love life,
For the way you love me,
For the things that you do,
As you give me your heart.
For all of these things,
I give you my heart.
