Bdsm wise, while relatively new to the scene, i've been doing my thing for years, in my own way, in my own time, i would say i've always been kinky, in the wilderness years before the internet, i just had no idea that there were thousands (if not millions) of other people very similar to me. A lot of my experience is down to introducing nilla's to a bit of kink and beyond if i could get them too, only one or two ran away terrified . Finding new friends in the uk 'scene' (not sure i like that word but hey ho!) has a little bit like coming home, finally i'm not hiding who and what i am.
So the next question "What am i?" I'm sexually submissive and i love playing as a Domme/Top, i'm a very mild masochist and a bit of a hitty things sadist, hence the label switch. I'm a kink enthusiast, though sadly i'm unable to 'do' everything i want to do, my enthusiasm for kink in lots of forms grows with my knowledge of it.

Bit about me outside of bdsm, I'm intelligent (some say), articulate and sometimes very bubbly (keep me away from alcohol ). I enjoy most creative things, have a passion for literature in all forms and I'm a bit of a closet sci fi geek. Not a trekkie but definitely a lover of sci fi, both written and television. Heroes is my favourite tv show of last year. Sir (and it's about time!!!) Terry Pratchett and Anne McCaffrey are my favourite authors though I do read a diverse range of books.
I write myself too, though a long way from becoming a published author (see blogs) not just prose but erotica and a bit of poetry (I know cringeworthy) lol. I enjoy painting and use all mediums of oils/acrylics/watercolours/gouache and pastels, though I can't draw for toffee .
I have a new found love for photography *update: i've been lent a camera and i'm starting to explore that. Also i've done four (*update, now six! eek!) photo shoots with photographers as a 'model' now that was a surprise. I never thought, particualry at my age that i would be doing fet shoot's but here i am, and evidence of said shoots on my profile...wow! I learnt a bit from these shoots, but need so much more...Art/erotica is something i'm very interested in now. The how's and how to's..lighting..fascinating!
I am comfortable with who i am, i'm very open with not just friends and family about it, i see no point in deception, i don't have to hide for work or family and i know i'm lucky in that respect, it's made my choice of being true to myself that much easier. It also means that i don't want to involve myself in someone else's deception, if you have a nilla partner or wife, i may sympathise but, i will only ever be a friend, nothing more!
Oh and a quick mention about music, i've very diverse tastes, from tenor's on one side to all sorts of chart stuff on the other. I'll always have a soft spot for clash/stranglers etc and strangely 80's pop. I like Strauss, Tchaikovski and Handel, Bizet, Ravel etc., i like a bit of lots of things, Bowie, Queen, U2, simple minds, David Jordan, Pink, Guns n Roses, Enya, Fleetwood Mac, Green Day, Script, Gwen Stefani, Clannad, Latin/cuban music, bit of arabic modern too, it all depends on the mood i'm in and what i want to listen to on that day.
Hard limit has to be counrty and western!
