Music - I am naturally a classic rock chick, but I also enjoy some newer metal, indi and folk music. Country and western is a hard-limit.

Books- My favourite author is Iain Banks, I am not a great lover of trashy chick lit. I love the classics; Shakespeare, Dickens, Austin, Hardy and Brontes. Other authors inlude Roddy Doyle, Prachett, Tom Holt and Pullman.

Television- Mostly British comedy and drama: Old and new Doctor Who, BBC dramatisations, e.g. Tipping the Velvet. Stuff by Ken Russell and Dennis Potter, Red Dwarf, Black Books, Coupling, Shameless, Sugar Rush, BBC nature programmes: David Attenborough is one of my heros.

Films- ohhh there are so many, Tim Burton films, Tarentino films. I love films by Peter Greenaway and one of my best loved films is Lost in Translation. I am an old romantic and enjoy a good weep and this is especially good with a someone who is man enough to weep alongside me.
