I was widowed in 2008. (I was going to write "recently" but although it feels very recent, I have to admit that isn't the most accurate adverb.) My husband and I played, and he's the only person I've ever been with (though we very occasionally played with others). Mostly into role-play (school, domestic, adult/kid), spanking (hand, slipper, cane, switch, birch, strap, hairbrush), sometimes enemas, anal play. I do not combine sex with spanking or role play.

My husband was an Englishman (half Scot), and I think I'm hard-wired for that. Mostly what excites me is someone super-smart with a huge heart, sharp (preferably English) wit, a good writer, good actor, playful imagination, and openness to religion. I don't relate to the idea of "lifestyle" or "scene" (unless it's a roleplay scene), or even the word "fetish". For me, imagination, sexuality, intellect, creativity, love, and spirituality are all mingled. Playing for me is basically the adult version of what we did in the backyard as kids - "let's pretend!" - except not g-rated, more committed, and more fun.

My husband and I switched. I'm more bottom oriented but can and do top when occasion demands. Topping doesn't turn me on like bottoming does, but I top people when I love them and they need it.

I'm not sure if I'm ready to have play dates with anyone yet. I'd like some friends. I cannot imagine having sex with anyone I wasn't married to or thinking of marrying.

Long term, I want to meet the man who's been waiting to meet me, perhaps without knowing it. I'm looking for a second chapter.
