So I thought it was probably about time I wrote a profile that actually went some way to explain who I am, what drives me and what I want from life. I've been lurking in the background of IC for a couple of years now but have only just started to explore the scene. The people I have met so far have been absolutely lovely and if they're representative of the community as a whole then I'm in for a fantastic adventure.  

I started exploring my deviant side about 10 years ago now. It started fairly tamely with the usual handcuffs and blindfolds in the bedroom but quickly evolved to encompass other areas. I don't really like the idea of labels but if I forced to put one on myself it would be that of a switch. I firmly believe that as long as you're having fun any label is inconsequential.

  My list of interests is a very small snapshot of some of the things I enjoy. It is by no means exhaustive and continues to evolve with my life experiences.  

Everyday life for me takes place in the world of IT which seems to be a common theme for those in the scene. It would seem that there's a strong positive correlation between kink and geek, something that I had never really thought about until recently. Without a doubt I fall into the geek category and live in a flat packed full to the rafters with geek tech! I'm sure anybody with 8 terabytes of networked storage at home needs their head looking at!

  Outside of work and kink I have a wide variety of interests. Cooking is a big passion of mine and I'll find any excuse to have a dinner party. I'm also a dab hand at baking…..ask me nicely and I might make you one of my chocolate fudge cakes.

  Music wise I play piano and love to sing (karaoke munch anyone??!) I've got a little home studio and love making music as and when the creative juices flow. Unfortunately I don't get to do as much music as I'd like with the everyday pressures of life getting in the way. When it comes to listening to music I have a truly varied taste, as anybody who has seen my Spotify playlists will attest to! I'll listen to absolutely anything and if I like it I'll probably start dancing in a very peculiar way!

  I enjoy a good game of badminton and also love getting outside and walking. I ascended a number of Pike's in the Lake District last year and would love to go back and explore some more. We live in such a beautiful country and it's such a shame we don't all explore it more.

  So what am I looking for? Well nothing in particular really. I have spent a long time playing privately and mixing with the same group of people so I decided it was about time I expanded my group of friends and met some people from the scene. Like most people I'd ultimately love to settle down with the girl of my dreams and live happily ever after but these things never happen if you go out and look for them. Friends are very important to me and once I've made them I keep them very close.

  I'll be attending more munches and hopefully some other events over the coming weeks and months and can't wait to meet some more lovely people. I live in Tunbridge Wells but would consider London to be my social home as there is certainly far more occurring than in my rather dull town!

  I'm sure this profile will be rewritten many times but it's a start for now…..plus I've got lots of work to do so I'm better get on!
