Not currently looking for anything. Having fun and extremely happy and content with my present status.

My "Someone Special" encourages me, gives me a gentle push now and again and is always there to catch me if I balls it up, and I often do. He doesn't judge me or criticise me but accepts me the way I am. In many ways he's like my own personal sat nav, guiding me along. New ideas to think about and things to try. Always exciting, never scary. Challenging? Oh yes. But He always provides a safety net.

Me - as described by a significant few: “feisty and difficult” (my favourite ), "faithful and devoted", "moody", "stubborn bitch", "compassionate and caring", "given to bouts of insane jealousy that are bloody hard work", "dedicated slut", "fiercely protective of those you love", "a total pain in the arse but we love you to bits". Oh, and a new one, "an irritating old goat".

Things I like: Music, poetry, books, books, books. Art, history, science fiction. Olives and Feta cheese. Freshly fallen snow, Lancaster Bombers, speedboats. The smell of diesel on sea water, Dettol and carbolic soap. Beaches and rock pools. Earl Grey tea, Starbuck's Espresso. My beautiful tattoos. Long cuddles and gentle kisses after a hard thrashing. The feel of my collar as it's tightly buckled, that helpless breathless kiss when I can only plead with my eyes. Tim Minchin, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard, Terry Pratchett, ee cummings, Carol Ann Duffy, Philip Larkin. Frosty mornings, Scrabble, the Daily Telegraph crossword. Special shared moments in time. Looking at my bruises and marks, closing my eyes and remembering...

The things I don't like: Bad manners, those that think that because I have submissive tendencies I can be treated like a doormat and will submit to anyone. Not so - piss me off and I bite ankles. Girlie chit-chat, daytime TV. Anything on ITV (sorry but that does include X Factor and all the other “wannabe” crap that ITV stands for). Broad beans, whelks, home-made pumpkin and sweetcorn soup, unnecessary use of mobility scooters, feeling unloved or unwanted. White shoes, chavs, chocolate (yes, that is in the right list).

I rarely use IC Chat as I am plagued with late-night drunken idiots. However, always happy to exchange via memo. MSN and Yahoo are kept for those personally known to me, whether in the flesh or on-line if we have become acquainted. I'm an "old-fashioned" girl and really rather enjoy my privacy. But, new friends are always welcome so do drop a line or two if you feel the urge. I really am quite nice.
