Thanks for stopping by. Let's start with the specifics: I'm 34, 6ft 3, slender-medium build, possessing a sufficiently sane and sharp mind, fit, offbeat and generally quite an approachable chap (if a little fussy at times) and an all-round individualist. And I happen to love rope and most things that go with it. But it is NOT my lifestyle.

I'm an eligible bachelor with heady standards; I write magazine articles (put down the sodden copy of Norfolk Wifes now!), run two businesses, and co-pen TV comedy/drama scripts (we're soon to be commissioned, we hope). I was once a drummer in a band, too (as if that's somehow a USP?). I have many, many interests outside the world of kink - so if you're a life-styler looking for a 24/7 relationship, I'm probably not you're man.

Looks wise, I'm above average (so my more generous friends proffer, although it's subjective, of course), have a shaved head, work out regularly, and occasionally stand in as a double for Bruce Willis. Ok, well not really.

In essence, I'm a quirky individualist. I'm happy, and like life, but I'm somewhat cynical of the ways of the world, too, and the posturing of those who consider themselves important. So you should be both self-effacing, yet grounded and worldy aware, or I doubt we'll ever get on.

Physically, I'm a bit of a fitness and sports nut, but you won't find me watching it on TV (and I may well be taking a long holiday come 2012). I love good healthy vegetarian food, good wine, engaging conversation, and the company of a spirited, intelligent, well-travelled woman who happens to like bondage. Or at least, want to be introduced to it in a safe, sane and implicitly consensual setting.

I'm open to new connections; both romantic and platonic. I'm happily single but I am open to new adventures of the mind and body ...with the right person. Like everyone these days, I have a busy life, so it would have to be someone with whom I shared a genuine scintillating spark.

ROPE

I love the tactility, smell, look and feel of traditional hemp. Synthetic variations have their place, too (nothing like a glistening, neat, white karada over a rubber dress). I do enjoy playing around with other restraints and equipment, too, and generally trying to be inventive and creative. That doesn't mean I don't like pushing the envelope, so to speak, because I do. when I think it's right to do so. Oh, and I should probably admit I'm a stickler for good technique with an adroit touch – although I'd be lying if I said I always lived up to the standards and images in my head.
