This group is designed for topic based live chat. This differs from other chatrooms in that the topics will be led, suggested by any who care to participate, although usually it is Terpsikori who leads.

Sidebar chats will be invited to visit other chatrooms during the period of discussion, which may last from about 1/2 hour to an hour, depending on group interest.

Tentative times for discussion will be a bit after 4:00 pm and after 7-ish pm during the week. This will be an informal time however. If you see anyone at home, do drop in.

Guidelines for those not familiar with the format:

1. The purpose of the room is not to debate but to discuss...nothing to win or lose. It is more important to develop insight into a variety of opinions.

2. Stick to topic, please, however much you want to catch up with any friends. Catching up can be done either private chat or in any of the other 20 odd chat rooms designed for it.

3. Courtesy to all is expected. Delighted to say, only one person has been banned so far.

4. No personal attacks of any kind will be tolerated, even if I like you.

5. Disagreement is encouraged if legitimate and respectfully presented.

6. Terpsikori introduces topics by default, but anyone is encouraged to offer topics, either by memo or during the chat session.

7. More than a 'yes/no' response is desirable.

8. Following above, it would be desirable for people to expand a bit on opinions, as to how the opinion might have been reached, for instance.

9. This is meant to be a friendly place for people to get to know one another in a different way than the usual chat. Join in when you feel comfortable.
