* Why are you called Newt?

Well…my partner gave me the name when I was 17. I changed my name to Newt when I was 22 through Deedpoll…so YES my Actual name IS Newt.

Also my name ISN'T from Hollyoaks [Emo kid Newt (real name Barry) played by Nico Mirallegro]…My name IS from Aliens [Only survivor of the colony on LV-426 Newt (real name Rebecca Jorden) played by Carrie Henn]

* What do you want to be when you grow up?

Me…To be a grown-up lady: that's what I want to be ;-P

* I like your Corset Piercing…where did you get it? Did it hurt?

AHHH! This is a Really STUPID question! My Corset Piercing was done by the Lovely Darryl [formally at Retro Rebels, now at Tattooed Freak (in Aberdeen)]…. YES of course it Fucking hurt! It consists of a “tooth” clamp, needles, PTFE staples.

* What's your outlook on life?

I used to think it awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse, if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us, come to us, because we actually deserve them? So now I take great comfort in the general hostility and the unfairness of the Universe.

* Are you Spiritual?

I have a Spirituality of course…I worship myself. My spirit will be with me until I leave this fucking earth. And when I die I don't know what's gonna happen, I don't question it. I'm not dumb I don't waste my time on fucking questions like that. Am I spiritual? Fuck yea, I feel something, do I know it's gonna precede my fucking death? No…but I'm gonna fucking live life for now. Because Life is the great indulgence and death the great abstance. So therefore...make the most of life Here and Now!

* When it comes to pop culture, music, TV, movies, fashion, etc… how does that affect your reality? Do you embrace it or escape from it?

You have to be informed and know what's going on to dominate your world. If I locked myself out from the world of pop culture, music, fashion and especially movies, I probably wouldn't know how to communicate with people since most people live and thrive of one or more of those things. Fashion is one of my favourite things. It allows people to be true individuals. I don't watch a lot of television, but I do have an extensive music and movie collection.

* How long have you been Hulahooping for?

I have been Topless Hulahooping since December 2008.

* Will you teach me how to hulahoop?

I wouldn't know the first thing about teaching someone how to hulahoop, its just really natural to me.

* Where can people see you perform?

lol...well, I usually perform my rotune in Cheerz Bar and Club (Aberdeen) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. But if you would like to to perform at a venue closer to you...send me a memo.
