I suppose I should start by saying I've always tried to just be myself on here, for anyone who read my profile previously what was on here told the truth, but only the surface of the truth.

I dare say people who know me have other opinions, some more or less accurate but all coloured by their own take on our interactions.

I've been told I don't blow my own trumpet enough so feel free to memo anyone in my contacts list to ask if they want to blow it for me

I used to be quite active on the London Club scene, you'd see me out at The Gate and ST very regularly and I did demo and teach at kinkfest etc to try and put something back into the community.

I suppose it's a cliché to say that you meet lots of acquaintances socially but very few that develop into real friends and I suppose that's more down to me than them, I can usually remember faces and bodies but names take a long while to sink in, well that and you do seem to meet some very shallow people out here.

For years my family life and then my working life meant I had to hide this part of myself from everyone and that made me somewhat less forthcoming when talking with others.

I was, and suppose I still am to a certain extent a serial monogamist with poly inclinations, because I don't really do jealousy as long as there's honesty.

Difficult for me to articulate so possibly harder for you to understand, if you feel you want to know more then ask.

I'm going through a hard time at the moment with vanilla issues and whilst I'd love to throw myself into a wild and abandoned relationship with a wonderful woman, realistically I don't think it would be fair to promise something I can't guarantee.

As a result I mainly just attend my local munches, Docklands and Greenwich and help with the odd demo or protest in defence of our rights to sexuality of our own choosing with consent.

I don't bother trying to follow who's doing what to who with which clique on the web boards except when I stumble across something by accident so if you read my posts then for the most part they're exactly what they appear to be and you only have yourself to blame for your interpretation unless you memo me to ask

I've tried to expand my circle of friends by contacting those people looking for friends on here, usually in my local area or hereabouts and some have responded well others less so, and it's the ones that don't respond or respond very negatively which sadden me.

For whatever reason they appear to read some inexplicable motive into what to me is a simple communication supposedly offering them what they say they're looking for.

It won't stop me offering friendship to others but it does make it a little difficult to be bothered sometimes when others requesting apparently ignore the offer because I don't for some reason meet the requirements they haven't been able or even tried to specify on their profile.

To anyone looking at my profile after reading a memo from me, if you don't want an offer of friendship or advice / information from me then please be an adult and just say thanks but no thanks and I won't bother you again except by accident.

If you are thinking of responding but are having a hard time keeping up with your inbox then how about a quick, “Sorry I haven't got the time to respond fully at this time but I'll try to get back to you later, thanks”

If you look at my pictures and think my ropework is great and my bottom even better then feel free to ply me with caffeine, white two sugars, while you try to work your way into my pants, who knows if you raise my blood pressure enough I just might let you
