I am mostly here for friendship, chat and information. I am exploring a new relationship with an old friend and loving every moment :o) I am not looking for anything else so please don't ask! I like a wide variety of different things in my play. As a bottom I love bondage and restraint....the more restrictive the better. Outside of the kinky world, my main hobby is mountaineering. I enjoy rock and ice climbing and the strange sport unique to Scotland that is a mix of both. I love walking in the mountains, especially in winter and skiing too.

Photography is my other main hobby. I am a bit of a luddite. My main camera is circa 1973 and my other one is 1950's! I had a digi, but I sold it. I have a fascination with abandoned buildings and old industrial sites and love to shoot the minutiae of these places. I shoot a lot of black and white and develop and print that myself, although I haven't got round to trying my hand at colour development yet. I would love to shoot some kinky stuff some time!

I am an ex-gymnast and I have an obsession with circus as an art form, especially aerial arts (trapeze, corde lisse, tissu etc). I am trying to find somewhere where I can train these again but haven't been too successful yet. My hard-drive is mostly full of Cirque-du-Soleil videos!

I also read anything that's put in front of me and it's rare to find me without a book close to hand.

My name comes from the fact that I have used the name Mercury for years as a handle on the other forums I use. Unfortunately Mercury and Quicksilver were both taken. But the symbol for Mercury is Hg which comes from hydrargyrum, a compound latin/greek name meaning, you guessed it, liquid silver. Yes, I am a scientist!

I am very nervous of talking to people I don't know, especially en masse. It makes me feel claustrophobic and panicky. I will come out to events but I am unlikely to initiate conversations with people I don't know so please come and talk to me!
