The fact you share an enjoyable common interest must take a backseat to the considerations you need to make in respect of accepting someone into your home as a lodger, and likewise, entering into the home of another on a fee paying basis. If you move on to become great friends, and who knows, play partners, that's great, but must take secondary importance to ensuring that the lodging arrangement is, fair, appropriate, workable and in the interests of both parties.
