Hi.

Firstly, kink is not my lifestyle - it's a fun thing I do in my limited spare time, not something vital to my existence. It is damned good fun though!

I like playing with ropes, and people seem to think I'm good at it. Look at my pictures or watch me at a club and see if you agree - I want people to respect me for what they have seen me do not what I tell them I am! I enjoy creating complex structures which make attractive patterns. I want my ropework to flatter and enhance the beauty of the person within. The aesthetics are very important, just practical doesn't please me. I love exploring ideas, experimenting and analysing - I can happily spend an evening geeking out about ideas for things to do, and meeting people who do that too is great!

I also like giving pleasure. My thrill in a scene is derived from the feedback I get, from observing the enjoyment of my partner. I can take a sadistic delight in driving a partner to exhaustion, forcing them to have more fun than they thought possible, but I can't inflict actual suffering or humiliation. I enjoy sensation and impact play when I see that enjoyment in my partner, but it's not something I need intrinsically and I have a lot of fun without it too.

While happy to chat online, I'm old fashioned enough to differentiate between people I have physically met and those I've not, and to need face to face time and the ability to read body language before I can really trust someone. That trust is built over time and I like to take things slowly and start with relaxed, fun stuff which may become more intense over time as the trust develops.

I'm boringly heterosexual, and while I can geek about ropework with other blokes I don't like scening with men. Also, I do most of my development work with my wife so my skills don't really work on larger figures. This is not a value judgement, it's just that I don't have time to learn to be as good as I'd like with figures that require different ties/techniques.

So, yes I may come across as a bit picky and demanding, but then I want to play with people who care about the outcome and can tell the difference between random thrashing about and skilled work. I'm also interested in friendship with anyone who is also into exploring what can be done with ropes.

I enjoy European Mediaeval martial arts (mostly longsword), Mountain Biking and Music with Rocks In. When it doesn't interfere with the above I enjoy real ale and malt whisky too.
