Mainly here to have a bit of banter, find out about events, check out pics and writing and generally be nosey about what people are up to.

I am a 41 year old man who after the end of a long term vanilla relationship eventually decided to explore his fantasies and see what the reality may be like, to that end I have been on the BDSM scene for the last 6 months or so. So far its been a lot of fun with plenty of ups, a couple of downs and lots of learning about myself.

I seem to be considered easy on the eye and am fairly well educated, I have a pretty good job that gives me a buzz when doing it well. I like to see the funny side of things but my sense of humour is quite dry and my laugh is a little under whelming so sometimes taken for serious. I do have an actual serious side and can be extremely determined given enough motivation. Vanilla type pursuits include fairly eclectic music taste, some TV (including surprisingly Spartacus ), quite a lot of exercise these days (e,g. cycling, running), a bit of video gaming, a bit of board gaming, occasional reading and lots of unfinished projects of various types.

Ideally I am looking for a long term relationship with a beautiful, funny, wise, intelligent, open minded, patient and kind woman that adores me and who I adore in turn. I appreciate that is a big ask but I am in it for the long term. I hope if I can find her we can while away the days happily in each others company facing the good and the bad of life with good humour, patience and understanding. I appreciate that will not always be possible but if we click well enough (I know; define well enough ) then I think we have a chance.

My stance on D/s is that it should be only in the bedroom, outside the bedroom I would expect us to be equals (at least initially). if as our relationship developed we wanted to move it outside the bedroom then that would be fine as the trust would be built up to do that. In terms of my role I am a switch with Dom tendencies, However I like to think that if I met a woman that I have great chemistry with who wanted to be Domme then I would move heaven and earth to please her as her sub. Similarily if I met a committed sub that wanted nothing more than to please me, then I would be her Dom and strive to care for and help her to be the best she can be.

Finally I try and attend a lot of local events, including munches, clubs and fairs and parties as well as going to some further afield (mainly in London) it really all depends on the bank balance my mood and my stamina. Generally though you will find me at the local events most months as the social side is one of the best bits of the scene.
