a little about me
I'm... male, currently living in the North West of England. I enjoy keeping fit, writing, going online and socialising with friends.
I'm looking to make friends, at the moment, as well as the possibility of meeting up with anyone at some point in the future. I went to my first munch not so long back in Manchester and should be attending again some time soon.
Before I deliver my masterpiece of a profile... here is a little poem I edited to bring up to date for the internet generation. It was Robert Browning's 'Love in a life'.
Face after Face,
I surf the site through
We inhabit together.
Mouse, fear nothing, for, mouse, you will find her,
Next time, online! - Not the message behind her.
Left in the browser, the inbox resumed!
As she clicked it, the interface blossomed anew, -
The monitor gleamed on the load of her picture.
Yet the day wears,
And link succeeds link;
I try the fresh fortune -
Scan the wide web from the start to the centre.
Still the same chance! She logs off as I enter.
Spend my whole day on the net, -who cares?
But 'tis broadband, you see, -with such sites to explore,
Such pages to search, such profiles to importune!
