Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 was passed by Royal Assent in May 2008. It criminalises the personal possession of extreme pornographic images, including those which are staged.
The government Bill was introduced by David Hanson, Ministry of Justice and Lord Hunt of Kings Heath, Ministry of Justice
